I'd give this one about a 3.5. I didn't not like it nor did I love it. It was a quick read bit just something about it didn't capture or hold my attention. I felt the one itty bitty piece of drama was really unnecessary & didn't add to the story considering we were in the heroine's head & knew how she felt. I don't know that is just me, plus we were literally beat to death the fact David was & had been in love with her for so long. Nalini Singh hit it out of the park again in her second book in the Rock series. I was a little hesitant to read Rock Courtship because I loved Rock Addiction and I was expecting a let down. I have you know, I was completely wrong. Rock Courtship is the love story of David and Thea. David is the drummer of Schoolboy Choir and Thea is their publicist. David is known for his genuine qualities and sexy demeanor. Thea is a shark with a kind heart behind her mask. David falls madly in love with Thea only to be turned down because Thea does not date clients, especially rock star clients. Thea's last relationship went bad and left her scarred to attempt love again. David, determined but respectful of her wishes was near giving up when Molly, Thea's sister, gave him a bit of insight...send her a memo stating your argument. Those memos were my absolutely favorite part of the book. I loved reading about the banter, the honesty, the passion, the skepticism, the need between the two of them. David was so determined and Thea was curious, but reluctant to give into her feelings. The two of them were a match made in heaven. I loved their story, their passion for each other. It was a book solely on building a relationship between David and Thea. There was not a lot of outside chaos like Rock Addiction. Excellent book, easy read. You will be left floating in love when you finish their story.
Do You like book Rock Courtship (2014)?
This was just a bad book. I'm really quite displeased with it.
