Picked this one up at my local public library for a fun thriller read. These ghostwritten posthumous novels are often hit-or-miss. But Kyle Mills not only catches the true spirit of Ludlum's pacy, globe trotting thrillers. It's also well written and decently plotted. On the upper end of these license to print money. Much better in its way than Lustbader's extension of the actual Bourne series. The book roams the world as a Ludlumesque novel should; there's a decent wrap-up with one loose end to transition t the next book in the series. I enjoyed this. Fun plot - characters are fairly typical action hero characters - even if one is a woman CIA operative and the other is a doctor. The technology in this though was very interesting and the whole way through had me wondering "how close to this are we?" Essentially it is smart phone that interfaces directly with the brain and has a "heads up display" directly on the visual cortex. Is it safe to allow a company or government that kind of access to your brain? Fun popcorn read.
