He finds evidence of aparasitic infection that for years has been causing violent insanity andthen going dormant. This time though the parasite has been kept alive andcrully transmitted into acts of terrorism. The director of Iranian Intelligenceis in Uganda trying to obtain this weapon to unleash on the West. Smithand his team are ambushed and cut off from all outside support justas they begin to suspect that forces more powerful than the Iraniansare in play, forces that can be traced right to the heads in Washingtonitself. This is a good story and a real thriller. To me it seems that if they continue to use writers like this Ludlum will be around for a long time.
