A light, cute, funny read about the mishaps and misunderstandings that come with falling in love, especially when the lead character completely refuses to. I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting. I absolutely adore Patrick. He's super adorkable! Wouldn't you want one? Some people might say the book is too cheesy and predictable, but that's not always a bad thing. Personally, when I'm feeling down and just want to relax and read something that will bring a smile to my face, a book like Rhymes with Cupid does the trick! Elyse is your typical teenage girl except that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with her ex-best friend and now she hates love and anything to do with it. Valentine's Day is coming up and although Elyse hates it, her co-worker and best friend, Dina, is madly in love with someone and Elyse has to set her straight. As Elyse is dealing with Dina's problems, she has to deal with taking her driver's test and it gets harder when a cute boy, Patrick, enters the picture. Patrick becomes her instructor for driving and he's Elyse's next-door neighbour, who develops a crush for her. Elyse rejects Patrick because of her previous experience in love; she tries to set up Patrick with Dina instead. In the end, Elyse realizes that she loves Patrick and that he and Dina shouldn't be together. They end up dating and Dina's not mad because she likes someone else.I picked this book because the title "Rhymes With Cupid" sounds like it's about love and I needed to read romance novels this month. I finished this book because I enjoyed reading about the relationship of Patrick and Elyse and how it changed.I would recommend this book to Hafsah because she likes romance novels but doesn't read them.Rhymes With Cupid is a cute story describing the relationship between a girl and a boy and how it changes. The relationship in this book is like the relationships in every book or movie. Rhymes With Cupid is an amazing novel with great descriptions.
