This is the first novel I've read by Brett Battles. It will not be the last! Numerous authors have gotten tied up between the berries and cherries in their Fruit of the Looms trying to explain time travel paradoxes. Brett takes a loftier view. He doesn't spend a lot of time explaining the paradoxes, but he definitely utilizes them to enhance the plot and add interest. The dialogue was appropriate to the characters, the environments were richly described, alternate Earth provided a lot of food for thought. Editing was solid.I think this is one of the best time travel novels that I've read. I'm not sure. I might have read a better one in a different reality, but that's not where we are, is it?Good job! Wow! Brett Battles has really knocked it out of the park with this one. He has found a way to perfectly combine contemporary fiction with distopian themes in a time-traveling story! He makes the story plausible, geeky (in a good way), and engrossing. Most authors tend to get wrapped around the axle when writing time-travel stories, but Brett does an excellent job of dealing with the complexities and logical traps in a way that I won't spoil for you here. I hope that this is only the first of many in a new line.
Do You like book Rewinder (2014)?
A good, fun read. I'm having my daughter's read it next. A fun concept about American history.

Fun time travel book, but doesn't really cover anything not found in lots of other stories.
