This novel opens with Monks, a doctor, being kidnapped by a group of hard core militia. At least that's what they seem to me. America is the enemy here. The leader is a psychopath named Freeboot, who is an expert brainwasher. He's made almost to seem inhuman. His 4-year old son is diabetic and dying. Hence why they needed Monks. I liked the book. Couple of little typos, nothing major. It seemed to end abruptly. It was a little anticlimactic for me. Having said that, I did enjoy the book for the most part but it wasn't tremendous.
