BJ Daniels writes another beautiful romance full of suspense, Including murders, stalking and happily ever after! Once you start this book, you won't be able to put it down until the end. I would highly recommend this book as a Great Read! The story is about Mckenzie, who is a naturally beautiful, successful and independent women who owns her own realty business. McKenzie is talking on her cell and doesn't notice the man beside her car. He attempts to abduct her, she is trying her hardest to fight him off when a stranger walks by and hears something. The stranger jumps in to help the woman as she was trying to fight the attacker off. The attacker jumps into his dark car and drives away. Police report is filed and she tries to move on with her life. Meanwhile the attacker is furious she got away and needs to know if she or her cowboy could identify him. He decides she will pay for escaping him. He couldn't believe he was so sloppy. He's done this several times. He scanned the news to see if it was reported. It is only reported that the attacker is at large and gives a vague description. The attacker becomes obsessed about who she is and if she knows who he is and decides to stalk her and finish the job of killing her. At the same time, she fired one of the best agents who was stalking the receptionist and he became disgruntled and becomes a person of interest. He's furious with her and going to teach her a lesson. The next day, she is showing a property when she feels she is being watched and gets scared. The clients show up and one of them have a look, does she recognize me . She knows she's seen him but can't place him and wondering if he was the attacker and she panics, he explains he was the stranger who helped her. BJ Daniels manages to describe everything McKenzie was going through emotionally by having a stalker. The living in fear of not knowing who is after you and wanting to reclaim her life. When Hayes Cardwell visited Montana, he didn't even bring his gun. His main goal was to stop his brothers wedding and get back to Texas. However, after meeting her and seeing her in shock, He takes her back to the Cardwell ranch since they haven't caught her attacker. He doesn't feel like she is safe and he wants to protect this lady from her brutal attacker. And get on with his life. I would suggest buying the book to see how it unfolds! I guarantee you won't put it down until the end. “Rescue at Cardwell Ranch” Full of gut wrenching suspense.This was a hard read for me because BJ nailed all the emotion and terror that a woman being stalked goes through. I just wish I had had a knight in dusty cowboy boots. McKenzie, our terrorized heroine, is believable in that she is strong and wanting to take her life back after being attacked, but still afraid and willing to lean on Hayes, our hero. Also if I can use two words to describe the whole Cardwell clan in situations like this they are “bear hug”. The whole family just wraps the person in trouble in a big protective bear hug. Don’t skip ahead to the end of this book because you might miss a little twist from a barely mentioned character in the book that I don’t think we’ve seen the last of. I think that that twist character could get ugly in the future. After reading so many of BJ’s books I’m counting on it. Loved this book!
