About book Reimagining Church: Pursuing The Dream Of Organic Christianity (2008)

This book is a real eye opener as it examines and explains the dynamics of the first century church, and challenges the hierarchical and businesslike model of the modern church. I would encourage anyone reading this book to do so with an open mind and an expectation that it's contents can change your life. It flies in the face of many practices and beliefs that churches have held dear for hundreds of years. Good read. This book radically changed my thinking about the modern church! I was already on the fringe, but now I have jumped over to the other side. It gels with all those concerns about the way church is played out that I had had hidden in my subconscious and were suppressed. Everything is well-backed up by Scripture and the Greek or Hebrew translations. The only reason for not giving a full five-star review, is just a personal belief system - I didn't agree with every angle he came from, but overall, the book is a must read for every searching Christian who wants to experience authentic church life and is questioning the status quo. I also would have liked a bit more direction on how to start an organic church, but I suppose I will get that in the next book.
