About book Reasonable Fear (2000)

I think I enjoyed this Joe Dillard story more than the prevoius ones I've read. As District Attorney General, Joe finds himself in a very serious situation in this installment and I ended up reading almost half the book today because I just had to know if/how he would get himself out of it. Although I have found, as the series progresses, that Joe's lack of self control when he is angry is a less than appealing character trait, for the most part, I like the character. This is the fourth of Scott Pratt's Joe Dillard series. REASONABLE FEAR was well on its way to a five-star review until the very end. In this installment Joe Dillard is an edgier character than in the previous books of the series. I love the changes in him. I also like the more action-packed ending--who doesn't love Rambo? My only issue is the messed up final two chapters, which seem out of order. I felt cheated by a key incident in the last chapter happening "off stage" instead of letting me witness it. In spite of my slight disappointment, I do recommend this series and look forward to the next book. I also recommend starting with AN INNOCENT CLIENT, the first in the series, and reading the series in order.

Do You like book Reasonable Fear (2000)?

Scott Pratt is John Grisham on steroids. This is the fifth Pratt book and I've loved them all.
