So beautiful and fun!I’d known the basics of the story before, but Patel makes the full depth of the story completely accessible (and enjoyable) to the layman reader. And the graphic style is delish. It’s slightly reminiscent of traditional Indian art, but brought into modernity via modern graphic design. A happy addition to my library and a great read for anyone looking for great stories told in clever ways. All of the illustrations in this book are stunning, down to the end sheets (the cover w/o the dust jacket is great, too). It took me a long time to finish this book, though, because of the writing. It's typeset in Archer on top of bright colors, so it's hard to read. But more importantly, it seems unsure of whether the audience is kids or adults, and the length is kind of caught between simplicity and detail. I would probably rate this book 5 stars were each spread simply illustration with a title + sentence or two.
