" Qumran " is a fascinating book, the first book of a trilogy ( Le Trésor du Temple", La Dernière Tribu" ) by Eliette Abecassis about the history of the" Scrolls of the Dead Sea" " Qumran " is more than a simple triller, despite falling dead and the investigation of the hero. It should not be reduced to mere police investigation conducted by Ary and his father. This book is an excellent paper on Judeo-Christian religions and their origins, and its theological culture, especially about the famous " Scrolls of the Dead Sea" that have caused so much controversy.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea...This book is also a great interest on the history and archeology of Israel, a great adventure story and reflection. I highly recommend it to all those which are interested at The History of Civilizations, The History of Religions , whether believer (s) or not.
Pourtant bien écrit ce livre prometteur n’est pas un véritable thriller. Si le style est impeccable, la maîtrise du suspens laisse à désirer. Un peu longue à démarrer, l’action reste mollassonne mais le fond du propos attise cependant la curiosité du lecteur. La psychologie du personnage principal est intéressante, son évolution mystique nous incite à en découvrir plus, mais le réel suspens m’a semblé absent, ou mal organisé. Très agréable à lire, intéressant, mais pas haletant, ni très ingénieux au niveau de l’action et de l’intrigue.
