I liked the addition to the novel "Quis Custodiet" : "Ipsos Custodes" which is basically what Warrick was up to while Toreth was in Greece. It include a lot of technical talk about the sim and anti-Administration thinking, but it involves Carnac, and well, Carnac is always to be enjoyed even though he is so infuriating. I love the way he talks and is unable to mind is own business. That aside, this short story triggers what happens in "First against the Wall", and we get to understand more of Carnac's motives and thus "FATW" make more sense.The other addition you can't read online is "Paws for Thought", that also revolves around Warrick and the sim, trying to help (while getting new datas) Tom, the boy-cat introduced in "Gratuitous Kink". It's not the best short story, but it's a nice change, as it was with B-C's story in the previous book.I rate 4 stars because I enjoyed Quis Custodiet (Greece, of all places ! I was so surprised, and delighted - I love how Francis still thinks of other places and other nationalities when she could have stick with England/Enlish people). While Toreth is being an ass as usual, the bit when he tells Warrick about his fear of water was a great improvement.Same in "Then and Now" that I love, where we learn yet another bit of T and W youth and we feel that their relationship is really evolving toward... something else. And I loved "Smoke and Cameras" too for the same reasons; Toreth is being weirdly sweet and concerned there !"Gratuitous Kink" bored the hell out of me."Friends in the right places"... I can't really recall this one. Nothing much happens I guess."Sunday Game" was okay as smut is always okay. This may just be my favorite series of all time. The quality of writing never diminishes. Mind Fuck, Quid Pro Quo, Games & Players, Control and Quis Custodiet (and soon to be book #6!) are all equally good. One of my absolute favorite themes is dystopian future & totalitarian governments. So I am in heaven with this story! The characters of Torreth & Warrick are amazing. I love them both equally & that is rare for me as I usually have a favorite. The secondary characters are just as well written and thought out. I also appreciate the excellent book covers & titles.
