Poor Quin & Rose. 200 years of misunderstanding kept them apart all due to 2 jealous, malicious men. Even though I'm sad about how Rose and her grandson were threatened, as least it brought the lovers back together again.Lots of sexy moments in this one, not just beteen between Quin & Rose, but the other Scanguards couples also. The action was a bit slow, but some of it is differnt enought to be interesting.The way they handled Blake was not quite right. The basic idea was good, but details not quite realistic. He was too trusting.We get nice buildups of possible future situations with other characters. Encouraging us about future books.Favorite scene: When Zane is let out of the trunk. finally read this one after Zane's story...Not really impressed by Quinn at the previous books, but this one revealed his sad story.. how he lost what really precious in his long life.. his love, Rose.. his beloved wife.What a surprise, when he saw his beloved still standing.. alive.. and a Vampire.. tried to get his help via Scanguards to secure his great great great grandson.. the one spoiled Blake..I saw the root of their separation for 200 years is simple.. which cause a deep fear and regret.. their sire's death.I just relieved how they reconnected their love connection, which run deep inside their heart for all this time apart.. and don't forget the make up sex.. just run hot as you can imagine it would.a good book to accompany my night..
