Steam and angst galore! Even though the ending reunited Quinn and Lorcan (and during this book at least, that reunification was never in doubt), I liked the first half much better than the last. Things got a little murky toward the end, and some things that I felt should have been addressed were not, but then, this is not the end of the series by any means, and maybe everything will be cleared up by the end. And, if I'm going to be perfectly honest, there was always a little part of me that felt both Lorcan and Quinn were cheating on one another when they were not together. Holy crap! What just happened here?! I feel like I've just ridden the scariest emotional roller coaster ever and loved every second of it. I am one of those ppl who loves a good, well written angst and OMG, this book delivers it. Sap as I am, I teared up more than once, cause I just couldn't help myself. Quinn ended the other book as a big coward, started this one totally fucked up but somehow he came out on the other side as new, awesome man. Character development for the win. I just loved how Jo doesn't give the HEA easily, how she makes her characters work for it, cause it makes her stories more real. Loved the book and can't wait to read the next one.
