About book Quattro Giorni Per Liberarmi Di Jack (2010)
In this comedic take on the body switching plot, there's a twist as mentioned in the summary, which gives the book a fresh look at this used-before plot. Jill's side of the story is a bit bland as it's similar to some other chicklit novels that mainly talk about boys and how to get noticed by them, and then embarrassing situations abound, etc. but is still fairly fun to read because of McLaughlin's humor. But what really makes this novel is Jack's side- he is so very much a boy, and McLaughlin did a fantastic job getting his voice down as well as she did. His voice and plight are compelling to read, but both lead up to a dramatic climax, which had me turning pages so quickly. I was disappointed with the ending until I found out that there would be a sequel, and so it makes more sense now knowing that info, and I'm eagerly anticipating it. So be sure to get this book soon- it'll be easy to find since it's got such a shiny foil cover! For some reason this book is one of my comfort reads. It goes really fast, and it's not without it's flaws (I notice it usually gets really high or really low ratings), but for some reasons I love it.However, I really recommend reading it coupled with its sequel, (Re)Cycler, because otherwise it just doesn't feel...complete. I really think they should be bundled together as an anthology. Maybe the will be at some point. The first book is just about getting from point A to point B. The real character growth happens in the second book, but the first book sets up the basic premise, and introduces all the characters. I love the dialogue in this book (which I'm sure is deeply annoying to some people). It just feels very accurate, while still using its own slang and speak patterns. As far as characters go, I don't much like Jill (she's kind of a judgmental asshole), but I do really like Jack. He's definitely flawed, and a bit of a creeper, but I can totally understand his line of thought. Where as Jill is all about trying to hide who she is and prove herself as super feminine as possible, Jack's just trying to figure out who he is.I think this is just one of those books that you either love or hate. I happen to love it. But seriously, read the second book if you weren't wowed by the first, it might change your mind (and they're really fast reads).
Do You like book Quattro Giorni Per Liberarmi Di Jack (2010)?
Strange and a little disturbing, but compelling enough that I'll read the sequel when it comes out.

Not a terribly good read and one that left me confused re: its intended audience and message.
