About book Quantum Of Tweed: The Man With The Nissan Micra (2000)
This is my first try of Conn Igguldens writing and I just wish this was the first book in a series of similar stories. The book was about a bumbling gentlemens clothing shop owner, whom accidentally runs over the target of an assassin, then accidentally runs over the assassin, then... accidentally... begins to carry on the assassins work, with hilarious results. If this is a taste of Conn Igguldens work, then give me more. I loved this book.Yes, it is only a quick read, and the plot is really quite ridiculous; but for me that only added to it's charm and quirkiness. Albert Rossi, is a character that most middle-aged men can identify with, and his misadventures made me laugh out loud. For some reason I kept imagining him as the dapper David Niven.I love Mr Iggulden's work, he is my favourite author; and although I have enjoyed reading all of his historical novels, this little gem was a welcome change to my usual choice of read.
