An impulse grab from the used book shelf but I'm glad I picked it up. It's one of those books that captures what is probably an unreal representation of life for a young, 30-something single woman in NYC but one that I would hope is true or at least partially possible. So it was fun to get lost in the fun, witty life of Holly and her social circle. Though the players were sometimes unnecessary or out of place, it gave a little bit of a different perspective of that human struggle of finding one's way in life. Easy, breezy read that didn't feel dumb for once. I liked this well enough, but didn't love it. I was certainly happy to procure it for $1 at Goodwill, so say la vie. As much as I could relate to Holly's neuroticism, I couldn't totally get behind her as a "heroine". She was annoying to say the least. Amanda was even worse. I was hoping for a different ending at first, but then realized that I was totally happy with the quickly wrapped up finale. Decent read, not rocket science.
Do You like book Quando Menos Esperamos… (2010)?
Could not finish this book. Lost my interest about half way through. Very scattered and boring.
