She then meets a potato and asks the potato if it would like to play with her. The potato tells her that it is bored and the little girl tries to show the potato all the different things kids can do. The little girl does cartwheels, dances like a ballerina, ninja kicks, and other things. Potato is still bored with the little girl so she gives up and asks the potato how it could think kids are boring when they can do so many amazing things. The little girl stomps off and the potato then finds a flamingo to play with, but the flamingo is bored with the potato. Kids will get a kick out of the humor of a little girl trying to convince a perpetually bored potato (yes a potato) all the fun things that they could do together. Adults will get a kick out of how the story mirrors an everyday situation with kids; the 'I'm borded'/'you could do' push-pull. I really liked how the girl's imagination of ballets, castles and rock was illustrated as the with light blue crayon. I, also, liked the way the potato was incorporated into the illustrations, too, such as the head of a snowman. SPOILER ALERT: The end with flamingo was great; giving you a final parting laugh
