About book Puzzle Me This (2013)

I really enjoyed this story. So far, everything I've read by Eli Easton has been enjoyable. I really loved that in this one, when they get to the conflict part of the story, Luke really took the time to really think it through and make sure he wasn't going to be the one to hurt Alex, even if he inadvertently hurt him in the process. That wasn't his intention. They got into their relationship really fast and some things just caught up to Luke. I felt for Alex though. He was clever to get in touch with Luke the way he did and create the interest that caught Luke's puzzle-loving brain. I loved the entire concept. Can't wait to read more from this author :) This was cute and super sweet. Everything works together well for a short story also. Just enough angst to keep it interesting and not be a white washed affair, but done without going overboard too. Luke Schumaker enjoys the fact that he's gotten to move back to his home state in Pennsylvania and still work at his dream job. The gaming company he works for is still back in San Francisco, but he gets to work from home and set his own schedule. He spends his days working on a design he loves and walking his dog and enjoying the hiking trails around. Returning from one such walk he discovers a newspaper propped up at this door, a newspaper with a crossword seemingly written just for him.Alex Shaw was born with a degenerative bone condition that has had him in a wheelchair his entire life. Yet he's created a strong independent existence for himself. An acknowledged geek he spends his days designing crossword puzzles for multiple newspapers. He's been watching his neighbor for awhile, and what better way to introduce himself to the man he's crushing on than a puzzle designed with him in mind.Because this story is so short a lot of the emotional undertones early on get skimmed over a little bit;, the logistics of dealing daily with a man bound to a wheelchair for instances. Still Alex and Luke were really cute together. I liked how Luke didn't care Alex was in a wheelchair, he liked the man that Alex was. Alex's insecurities were very believable as well. I appreciated the storyline here as well. There were enough hints of family and outside influences to strengthen the depth of this little short. I got a very complete feeling about the world these two inhabit. Of course Luke's gambit at the end of the story was very sweet and lovely if a little rushed. The HEA here is full blown and lot of time gets compressed, but not in an offensive way. This was very sweet and I really enjoyed the reading of it. A lot of feels are packed into these few pages. Lovely story!

I loved this book but this book was short. Besides it being short it was a great read!! :-)

Starts off really well and then takes a sharp right into angstville and lingers there.
