This book is a topsy turvy thrill ride of alien-ness. It is like a far future Conan meets Akira, as told through the pages of classic issues of Heavy Metal magazine. The stories are often simple in plot, but complex in world building. From the very start, the reader is thrown into an amazingly epic world. This is a far cry from Rob Leifeild's original incarnation, and it is so much better for it. A weird and wonderful sci-fi story bursting with creativity and off-the-wall ideas. Graham throws a dozen cool, imaginative, bizarre concepts into each issue and his artists rise to the challenge magnificently. The result can actually be a little disorienting at times, as the story bounces between characters, worlds, and alien races, but just sit back and enjoy the ride and trust that it will probably all make sense at some point.
Do You like book Prophet Vol. 1: Remisión (2013)?

Pulpy, clever, but ultimately not my style. Will probably give #2 a try.
