This book is worth its weight in gold. I purchased it soon after I got engaged, and while I'm still in the midst of wedding planning, every page of this book was a breath of fresh air. This is chock full of fantastic advice and real stories about how you can still have a lovely day without going into debt and losing your sanity. I know I'll be referring back to this during the rest of my planning, and likely gifting it to friends who get engaged. There were two key points in this book I found especially helpful.1) The central mantra: You won't remember what your wedding looked like, but you'll remember how it felt. So decide how you want it to feel (pick two or three adjectives), then make all the other decisions on that basis.2) The day-of spreadsheet thing. We're still some ways out from that, but my gosh that'll simplify things.
