An interesting book.comes from one of the genius physicist lecturer Prof. walter Lewin. one of the pioneer in x-ray astrophysics.not only his own biography that being revealed in this book. but he also managed to unrevealed the beautiful, mesmerising, yet -often- unseen world of everyday physics in a way that makes you easy to grasp.at the end of the book (cost about 84 pages) he also - of course - explained a world that he has been focused on, for more than 30 years of his scientific career. x-ray astronomy. which then revealed his passion for a new things.after all, his main objective is to become the bridge between profesional physicist and commoner like us.he said.."my goal is to make them (his student) love physics and to make them look at the world in a different way,"and in my opinion. he already did a great job for that, with this book. Walter Lewin is one of the top physics professors in the world. He explains physics in an entertaining and clear fashion. The first half of this book was especially good. He explains why snorkels can't be several feet long, why the sky is blue except during sunrises and sunsets and tells of amazing classroom experiments he performs every year.Like many other readers, I found the second half of the book less entertaining as he describes in detail his career in x-ray astronomy, his fascination with modern art and his contributions to x-ray pulsars.
