This one was better than the first. In fact I was really loving it. Until about halfway though it was implied that Max was seeing other women when they had a break in there relationship. When he was trying convince his dad that she meant nothing to him, and so he could get close enough to find out what he needed to know. So he had to fit into his dads drinking and whoring ways. I didn't like the way this was handled I don't like when authors use that in the plot. On a better note Max seems to be developing as a stronger person, in the first book he just seemed weak. Yummy!
