3.5 starsI have to say that $2.25 (Kindle price) for 21 pages is ridiculously expensive and in that regard I don't think the story (simply for its length) was worth it.However, just judging the story.. I have to say that it was short and sweet. I liked the MCs. Chris' strong positive character was well complimented by Josh's shy sincere personality. Chris' friends, Nate and Malcolm, were nice additions too. I was left wanting more, especially what drew Josh to Chris so strongly because we get the impression he's been waiting for Chris' return. Wish it was long enough to develop Josh's character, and give a better idea of where their relationship is going. Otherwise, this story shows us a man trying to put his life back together with whatever grace he can manage, hiding his vulnerability behind sarcastic humor. I have the impression Chris has given up the hope of love in his life. The story leaves us too quickly with an open ending, but still with possibilities.

I really liked this...loved the voice of the MC and his bad jokes. Very enjoyable short story!
