The narration was really good. But having experienced the event at about 5th grade - this version of what happened certainly does not capture what I experienced. Future generations will not get the real picture of Kennedy's assassination by reading this book. I did like details given that I did not know - but I do question some of the sources. There is no mention of all the questionable facts - and the discrepancies in the case. But an interesting addition to the historical research. Vincent Bugliosi does a masterful job with “Four Days in November” (or “Parkland” – if you came to this after the movie was created) by writing in a griping and compelling manner that will have you reliving the horrific events in that long weekend November 1963, when seemingly the entire country shut down.Concentrating on the facts at hand, using over fifteen-hundred footnotes in approximately four-hundred pages, Attorney Bugliosi lays to rest dozens of conspiracy theories while reconstructing the assassination and its watershed with precisely recorded dates and times; often recreating a series of simultaneous events minute by minute, second by second. Twenty years of scholastic effort yielded a masterpiece widely regarded as his magnum opus, “Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy”, from which “Parkland” has been gleaned.This is an intensely compelling read written from the perspective and mindset of a trial lawyer, all the while sharing with the reader the kinds of details that support themselves as compelling evidence.
I've read a lot of books about the assassination of JFK, and this one is my favorite by far.
