It felt a little like it was building and building and then at the very end instead of a climax, decided to take a step back instead. I was quite engaged in her struggles, and felt the emotional journey was very well conveyed, but was somewhat let down in the end. Maybe the specific nature of this series meant that the story couldn't be broadened further than it was, but I think the book begged for something bigger. The ending felt like intermission... I guess I need to read the next one. I found this book to be well-written and interesting. It is about a young, newly divorced, Mormon mom of two young boys. Paige has relocated to California from Utah after her divorce to try to restart her life. She becomes involved in a new book club and makes progress towards finding herself and moving forward. This book is part of an unusual series of four books. Each book is written by a different author from the perspective of one of the members of the new book group. I was prepared to find it kind of hokey and not well-written and I was pleasantly surprised. All of the authors are Mormon and in this particular book, the main character is Mormon. The other members of the book club are not Mormons. As a result, this book in particular will make more sense to a Mormon. I am looking forward to reading the remaining three books in the series.
