About book Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 12 (2009)
Haruhi is one of my favorite manga characters of all time. She is funny and strong even against a bushel of guys (strange kinds of guys by the way, but they are lovable too!) Even though all of the guys fit in their own individual stereotype that is exactly what makes the series as a whole so funny and enjoyable. The relationship between Haruhi and Tamaki is epic and I can tell you for a fact that I will be re-reading this series many times in the future!I would really recommend watching the anime too! More notes (yes, again, more for my benefit as opposed to a regular review, sorry!):Hikaru and Kaoru's relationship is strained as they try to figure out where they stand with Haruhi in the picture (though apparently there's less chemistry between Kaoru and Haruhi).Kyouya spends his 10-day French vacation scurrying throughout the country in search of Tamaki's mother (which, I found to be the sweetest gift any friend could give and is the sole reason why I'm half in-love with the idea of Kyouya).Some developments (FINALLY) regarding the relationship between Tamaki and Haruhi. Kyouya probably put it in the best way possible: that it's going to be an "interesting development."And some really nice backstory, with scenes that kind of made me tear. Yep.
