A great children's book! My kids absolutely LOVE reading this book. An avid Weather Channel fan, they are probably the only 6 and 4 year old in the country who knows how to read a radar map. They love the interaction between the animals and the dialogue is just a bit more than simple. But as I was reading the book to my son tonight, my daughter in a completely different room in the house was finishing the main parts of the book by yelling them to us across the house! It's a fun book to read over and over and is illustrated fabulously! Highly recommended for children of any age! Otis the tractor enjoys his life on the farm. When the daily work was done, he and his friend Calf and the other farm animals enjoyed a game of follow-the-leader through and around the farm. There was one animal, however, that none of the other animals liked: The Bull. Bull was kept all by himself in his own enclosure and pasture. He doesn't play well with others.One day the weather turned nasty and a storm blew through. When the rain was done the sky turned a strange green color and it became very quite. All of a sudden Otis saw a tornado coming! The farmer was already getting the farm hands into the cellar. But what about all of the farm animals? Otis took it upon himself to let all of the animals out of their pens and run with them to the lowest point on the farm: the riverbed.Suddenly the animals heard desperate animal cries for help. Otis quickly realized it was Bull. Bull was all by himself stuck in his pen! Otis puffed puffed to get to him, broke Bull's fence down and Bull was safe with everyone else.Once the tornado had passed and the badly damaged farm was repaired, Bull became a regular member of the group of animal friends who played follow-the-leader.A great story about friendship and being helpful and nice to someone who isn't.
