In book 4 of the Gallagher Girls, Cammie Morgan is still a teenager spy in training at the Gallagher Academy. Cammie wants to know why the Circle of Cavan wants from her and what she can do to help stop them. But many things come in the way when she learns that some of her most trusted people are the people that she should least. She is gets the most in shocked is when she learns about the life of Joe Solomon. So she and Zach decide to go to blackthorne institute and try to find the book that Joe Solomon wrote to find out more about Joe and his time is the Circle of Cavan. Cammie then has an encounter inside blackthorne with Zach's mother which was the one who tried to take Cammie in Boston and Mr Solomon. When they are there fighting with Zach's mother, Zach's mother decides to set the bombs off to try and kill Cammie, her son, herself, and Joe Solomon. Cammie and Zach escapes the bomb. Then Cammie decides to take things into her own hands and decides to run away to protect the people around her. Who will live and who will survive? Only the Good Spy Young is about love, courage and empathy. The Gallagher Girls: Only The Good Spy Young by Ally Carter is the start of the conflict in the series. Cammie is in London with her friend Bex and her family. While she was there, bodyguards were needed to protect her from The Circle. She’s at the ice skating rink with Bex, and then she spots Zach. Zach was looking for Mr. Solomon, but Cammie told him that she hasn’t seen him around. She wanted to know why Zach would think Mr. Solomon would be in London, but he doesn’t want to tell her. Eventually he tells her that Mr. Solomon was supposed to meet up with him a few days before, but he never showed up. Bex’s dad, Mr. Baxter, announces to Cammie that they are leaving and she needs to hurry. As she turns around to say goodbye to Zach, he disappears again as usual. Mr. Baxter holds onto Cammie’s hand as they walk across the rink, suddenly the lights go out and it becomes dark. Someone gets a hold of Cammie and she struggled to break free. Assuming it was The Circle, she tries to attack the victim. She attacked the victim, but he seemed to know how to counter it, and then a whisper in her ear tells her to stop fighting back. It was Mr. Solomon; he knew Cammie was in danger and The Circle was nearby. He tells her to run, but Mr. Baxter tells him to stop and let go of Cammie. Cammie tries to explain that it’s only her teacher. Mr. Baxter and Mr. Solomon both tell Cammie to not trust one another, but Cammie gets confused and is left with the words, “Follow the pigeons” from Mr. Solomon. Later on, she finds out Mr. Solomon is a part of The Circle and supposedly killed her father. Agent Townsend takes Mr. Solomon’s place in class, although he wasn’t a good teacher, he was a great spy. Cammie, Bex, Liz, and Macey aren’t amused with Agent Townsend; he was asking questions they did not want to answer. One day Agent Townsend takes them out for a CoveOps class, they think he’d finally given in and was going to teach, but he was using Cammie to lure Mr. Solomon out. Of course it worked, and Mr. Solomon gets captured. Towards the end, Zach wakes Cammie up from her sleep and they sneak out into Madame Dabney’s empty tea room. Soon her friends are awake and find her with Zach, and they want to know what was going on so they got permission from Cammie’s mother, the headmistress. They headed towards The Blackthorne Institute for boys. Bex, Liz, and Macey tag along, but then they decide to separate so Liz could break into security. Cammie is left with Zach and she also had trouble trusting Zach because he hid everything from her, but then Zach comforted her. Next, they’re headed for the tombs and get lost. After a while, they find Mr. Solomon with some members of The Circle. Cammie finds out that the person who is hunting her down is her boyfriend’s mother. Cammie is devastated, and Zach’s mother tries to get her. Zach demanded her to leave as he aimed at the explosives with a gun and said good-bye. Cammie runs away, not looking back. Eventually Zach’s mother catches up and she’s forced to jump off the cliff. Unconscious, Cammie can hear people crowd over her. Agent Townsend and her mother were there. Cammie ends up in the Gallagher Academy infirmary and finds Mr. Solomon bandaged from head to toe, and that Zach is actually alive. At the end, Zach suggests that Cammie and him leave, get off the grid, so that it’s safe for everyone. She tells him she can’t, but then at the very end she decides that it’s the right decision and leaves, alone. Overall, I’d rate this book a 9.5 out of 10. Cammie faced a lot in this book, and she was at the point where she couldn’t trust a lot of people including herself. I would most certainly recommend this book, especially for girls who enjoy spy stories.

Ally Carter gets more and more mysterious with every book in this series, she has more answers, more missions, more characters, and more stories. Carter keeps you on the edge of your seat with her action packed plot line that is anything but obvious. Although Carter is a great writer I would have to disagree with some of her character decisions in the beginning of the novel. Such as having a new teacher at a school that has only gets new teachers every few years but all of a sudden they got to two new teachers in two years? Even though I disagree with this, Carter does an exceptionally good job of making her story flow while making changes during the novel. I would definitely recommend this novel to my friends and classmates, I love the story behind these books and I am very excited to read the next ones.
