Do You like book One White Rose (1997)?
I like this book a little more than One Pink Rose. This sweet romance started when Clayborne brother Douglas shows up to a ranch to collect an Arabian he has purchased from Parker Grant. He is greeted by an angry panting woman pointing a rifle at him in the middle of a thunder storm. He manages to grab the rifle from her and sees she's about to give birth. He learns Isabel Grant has been widowed and held hostage on her property by the vicious and dangerous rancher who not only wants her land but wants her hand in marriage. He posts his ranch hands around her property so no one can get in or out of the property hoping Isabel will give up and beg him to marry her. It's really a miracle Douglas has managed to get past them in the first place. Douglas helps deliver baby Parker and feels compelled to help the beautiful and strong willed Isabel until she and the baby are strong enough to leave the cabin. However it's not going to be so easy with those ranch hands keeping a close eye on the house for their boss. Douglas must live in close quarters with Isabel for months to keep Isabel and the baby safe from harm. However he never anticipated the feelings that have flourished in his heart to grow so strong. Can he ignore the passion that has ignited in his heart for this woman he has vowed to help? Will he be strong enough to let them go when the time to leave finally comes? What will Isabel feel when the man she has grown to love abandons her?

It feels nice to go back and reread about the Claybornes. I have the combination book - The Clayborne Brides, but Tuesday, September 8, 2009, I had a chance to go to the library and found a copy of the single book - One White Rose and I am happy that I did. I use to own the single copy to all three books, but not anymore.Douglas story is cute. Douglas and Isabel were meant to be together. Thank goodness, he came to her house to pay her husband for a horse he bought and never seen. If he hadn't,
