I just love this series. Not vampires but immortal due to nanos that keep them healthy. Oh and they need to suck blood to survive. Little detail there. Nicole had some bad luck and now Marguerite thinks that someone is trying to kill her. So being the queen of matchmaking she calls on Jake to pretend he is Nicole's new cook/housekeeper. Only thing is that Jake can't read her and that means she is his life mate. Things get interesting as Jakes family show up. There were some pretty funny parts when Jakes Mother was able to read Nicole's mind. Not the kind of thoughts you want your future mother in law knowing....but all is well and this turns out to be another great story. I loved this book! Lynsay Sands never ceases to amuse me with the situations her character encounter! One Lucky Vampire did not disappoint. I have read every book in the Argeneau series and I am amazed how each love story is unique and Sands brings in character from previous stories flawlessly. For long time readers,Sands weaves the stories together, giving the reader updates on their favourite characters organically without it coming across as being forced. At the heart of all romantic matters is the sassy yet matronly Marguerite. In Jake and Nicole's story, they run into some interesting twists as the nanos guide them to each other as life mates. I loved how Sands has you believing one thing is happening when events taking place are really due to something very different. For a very entertaining read, I recommend One Lucky Vampire!
