This story is about finding your ownself, finding love and taking decisions. This book had good elements like.. not able to belong, always been good but not the best, taking decisions for life..but I didn't felt any particular connection. I was so looking forward for this book but every time I started it, I had to keep it down for some reason or other. It just didn't entice me :(.I love the concept of road trip, I don't think I'll ever get a chance to do it but I really would love to. When Angie starts the trip, she sure knows this will help her grow and take a long overdue decision. While she on the trip she stays with various friends she made through an online Community. For me, I really liked most of the aspects but her faith in God was a bit too much for me. I am not a religious person and my doubts regarding this believing part and finding someone who does it without blinking an eye is not my cup of tea. In the intial pages itself there have quite few refrence of God and faith. I am not saying people shouldn't have it, but for me it was too much.I like her courage to take such a huge decision and I really admire taking a stand to go on the journey even when her mom is saying no. But overall this didn't work for me, maybe it would for others. But, kudos to the author who could Honestly jot down whatever she felt without inhibitions. It takes guts and go for it attitude. I really admire that especially in women. Once Upon A Road Trip (Kindle Edition) by Angela N. Blount Angeli, eighteen just out of school decides she wants to take a road trip around America to visit her friends she met on the internet. Along the way she learns the truth of her friends, some are just what she thought they would be, others are not. She also starts to discover who she is , and what she may possibly want out of her life (her future). She does meet a few young men she likes and ponders the idea of a possible long distance relationship.An intriguing memoir of real life, love , faith, trust and self discovery. I recommend to those who like memoirs and coming-of-age stories. A great read!
Do You like book Once Upon A Road Trip (2013)?
This should've been under the Christian genre. As an atheist this book did not sit well with me.
