For what started out as a free book to the series, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the rest of them. By far my favorite character was a side character named Charles. His banter with our heroine, Sasha often made me laugh out loud while reading and was the perfect comic relief. Interesting tale about magic and vampire-like creatures in a modern day fantasy world. A little Twilight-esque in parts, but I still enjoyed it. Read all three in one day. A fun way to spend an otherwise uneventful Monday. :) It seems as though the author has found her stride with this series...she continues to produce the characters I love and a story that continues to evolve with all the minor happenings. I adore Sasha and Stefan ....and Charles .... I believe some of the shifters would grow on me too. I'm excited to see where we go next and I can't wait for the next installment. Some things may seem predictable but at this point I am just head over heels with the characters. I just want to stay in the book. 4.5 to 5 stars.
