Having loved every book in the series before this one, I was very disappointed in this one. I have loved Oliver since he was first introduced to us and hated how every character I had grown to love in previous books became major jerks and treated Oliver like crap. Really made it hard to get into the book. I feel they treated Oliver with more trust and respect when he was human. Unfortunately, I spent most of the book wanting to punch most of the characters and praying that it was almost over, because I hate not finishing a book. Love the series, just not this book. more like 3.5 starsI was looking forward to this one a lot, and it just didn't live up to my expectations. Oliver spent so much time defending himself that it felt too teen angst-y for me. I didn't really connect with Ursula either. The story of the blood brothel and the action were good, and the relationship at the center of the story was interesting. This one just didn't stand out as one of the better books in the series.

Better than I expected. Liked the steamy scenes. A quick, mindless read but fun nontheless.
