About book Offline (2000)

Every single time I read a Burke story I get jolted by the ending. By now I sort of know to expect it but it still sneaks up on me, that “whoooa, he did it again” feeling. This is pretty short but builds momentum nicely as you get sucked into the meat of the story; an innocent chat between two teens, it sounds normal but you know something eerie is right around the corner and then Baaaam! This was both entertaining and creepy, very well done Mr. Burke. This is the second book i have read from this author and i am again fascinated at his writings. He pulls you in from the start and simply does not let you go! This is a short story told through online chat messages and it all seems innocent enough but definitely leads you to a place you had no idea you were headed. do yourself a fave and grab any of the books the Mr Burke has written. you will not be disappointed!

Do You like book Offline (2000)?

Interesting approach but I want more backstory and details and, most of all, gruesome murder scenes.

Okay, this is a treasure: short, sweet and enough ick factor to make you squirm. Loved it.

Interesting short story. Whether a true account or not, it's freaky.
