It was a good read with a few quirks thrown in. A wolf shifter who loves chocolate and human men falls for a baker and tries his best to woo him. It was short and sweet and when they got together the chemistry was great. I especially enjoyed the shifter's inner musings (sorry, can't remember his name!) about chocolate and how he was so surprised that he was actually wooing the baker. A fun, short read with lots of cocoa! Dayton is in some ways a typical werewolf. He’s a tough guy who rides a motorcycle, doesn’t socialize much and is at odds with his pack due to his habit of hanging out with humans, and men no less. However when he gets a whiff of Connor, he knows Connor is special but he also knows he’ll freak out of he just tells him, so he sets about wooing him in a very old-fashioned, non-tough guy manner.It was fun to watch Dayton as he figures out Connor, and what would please him, and Connor’s puzzlement with a secret admirer who seems to be giving him gifts for no apparent reason. The waitress at the diner where Connor bakes and Dayton drinks his chocolate was funny as well. A bit stereotypical but her reasons for treating Dayton with suspicion were quite droll. “He lives on the edge! All that chocolate. It’s going to up and kill him one of these days.”Seeing eating/drinking chocolate as living on the edge, and something similar to a crack addiction made me smile.Once Dayton reveals himself to Connor they quickly take it to the next level and Connor admits to himself that he’s always liked a bad boy and the fact that Dayton is a werewolf just makes it that much more appealing. The whole story is done in a very light-hearted and is not meant to be taken too seriously. It’s all a bit tongue in cheek, and when they finally get together, they set the sheets on fire.It’s the perfect read for when you are looking for a quick story to lighten your day and leave you with a smile when you are done.
