I couldn't wait to read this one! A lot of teasing has been done in the previous book - true Gena Showalter style.And oh, I just wanted to pull Hector to my bosom and keep him there. Okay, so I also wanted to smack a few times because God, the man was so annoyingly frustrating and stubborn! Noelle seemed different in the previous book, but I guess that was the point. She wanted everyone to think she was a spoiled brat, a princess that couldn't live without certain necessities in life, things other people didn't have and only the rich could acquire, and she managed to fool everyone but Ava. And Hector. Of course. The stubborn, pig-headed man had a tug-of-war going on with her, kept pulling her in, then pushing away. I was ready to push him away from my bosom. But hah, Noelle showed him and he had to grovel. No, I'm not mean for enjoying that. Read the book and you'll see.Due to his pig-headed-ness, I'm giving this - otherwise awesome - book 4 - 4 1/2 stars. Now, I'm wondering if there will be more. 'Cause Dallas, you know. There are many things left unsaid and really, the man needs a HEA. The hero has arms that heat to unimaginable temperatures and after he accidently kills his girlfriend can't have sex with anyone but a hired hooker. Then he discovers he can masturbate and my god he takes to it like a fish to water. The heroine is one part of the dynamic Ava and Noelle duo and they join the AIR recruits with booty shorts and pig tales. The hero lusts after the heroine from the jump and is almost single minded in her desire for her though he refuses to consummate the urge (next to a few hot kisses) in fear he will kill her. But he jerks himself off nearly every chapter to help cope with it. I was so happy to see that he grew his hair out in the later chapters cause I don't like bald men. Also the heroine, though spunky and charming is a way was confusing. She paints herself as a slut but she's had only a small hand full of loves. She acts like a bubblehead and ditzy but is hurt and frustrated that no one takes her seriously or sees the true her. Well, maybe if you didn't act the part of an idiot so well people wouldn't treat you as such. I wasn't engaged in the later chapters as the story sort of fizzled. There was the murder and kidnapping mystery but mostly it was the very bland cat and mouse game that never really felt interesting to me.

Me ha gustado Hector y su necesidad de salvar a los inocentes, de su miedo por dañar a alguien, de su decisión de vivir en soledad para no quemar a nadie... La pareja perfecta, el anillo perfecto y el mejor final de todos, aunque he echado de menos un poco más de interacción Ava-Noelle porque, repito, son las mejores!!
