I really hated this book. It had such a promising start.First of all, it was completely fragmented. You had this gaps in the story that left you wondering what the hell happened. Major events that led to nothing.Then you have more interaction between Jesse (heros brother) and Annie than Griffin and Annie.Like when Jesse punches Nick. If anyone should punch Nick is Griffin.How the hell is Griffin being ok with how his mom treats Annie? Cause its totally ok to interrupt your son having sex with his wife, in their bedroom, and not even say hello or say you are sorry. She is not even civil.lets just pretend nothing happened and go to sleep.Then you have the hero talking with his ex, which leads to a fight with Annie. and what happens? nothing! there is a 10 days time jump where nothing is resolved. we don't even know if they are talking to each other. Completely disconnected.And don't get me started that he gets married but forgets to tell Annie that he was in a 13 year old relationship with his ex, that they lived together. So she moves in with him and everything in his life and home has something to do with his ex. We don't see any effort on his part to make it their home. The hero and heroine don't talk enough. She realizes that she is married and doest know his middle name, yet nothing is done to rectify that.And their reunion, so anticlimactic. And don't forget that his ex is there again with his mom. 3.5i like the storyit is fresh, unusual and feel original for mebut i did not like the main male character, he is wearing tattooi knew i should not judge but i dont like itthen sometimes i dont feel the romance between griffin and Annietheir moving too fasti dont know.. i like this novel but i hate too..it remind me the bad things that i've been through"It isn’t only that at the beginning of a trip the entire world is shiny and bright and possible, but also that we get to believe it again. Before any fractures show, before we feel like we are running out of time, before we make a bad choice. Before we realize that we are the reason something is going terribly wrong. In the beginning, we get to believe that, this time, we’re going to get it exactly right."
