Geld für teure Anwälte und Wohnungen ist komischerweise immer vorhanden, obwohl der Laden schlecht läuft. Die Logik bleibt hier auf der Strecke, stattdessen romantische Dorfidylle mit esoterischem Anstrich. Hinzu kommt eine unfassbar schlechte Übersetzung mit grammatischen Fehlern. Reyes Seashore in Sept. which is just south of Bodega Bay where this book takes place. A stepmother is left to raise two small children after her husband drowns. She is the only mother they have knows as the birth mother left them. I didn't connect with the book until about two thirds of the way through when the step mother- Ella- starts to walk in the shoes of the birth mother- Paige- who left due to postpartum psychosis. Paige's mother also suffered with this leaving Paige with physical and mental scars. It takes the near death of three year old Zack to bring the two together to co raise the children. It's pretty predictable from nearly the beginning what will happen but it does raise the moral dilemma of what to do in the best interest of the children.
Thought provoking, couldn't put it down, and satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
