Do You like book O Jogo Do Anjo (2008)?
Ruiz Zafon delivers again with this installment! The Angel's Game is a fast paced gothic mystery that is really melodramatic, indulgent, and sensualistic. It is a truly excellent novel, with the same beautiful style found in Shadow of the Wind. The plot was very dark, much darker than Shadow of the Wind, to the point of being disturbing. I loved how Zafon incorporated the themes of religion and madness. Also I liked that we didn't get a concrete explanation of what was going on.Although I preferred the Shadow of the Wind to Angel's Game, I can't justify giving this novel anything less than 5 stars; you should read it, even if you haven't read Shadow of the Wind.

Open this book and put your finger down anywhere on the page, and you're likely to be on or near a phrase of beautiful, lyrical prose. Both character-driven and plot-driven, "The Angel's Game," is a compelling read set in 1920s and '30s Barcelona. Writer David Martín gets himself in a whole lot of trouble. Did he really sell his soul to the devil? Carlos Ruiz Zafón crafts a creepy, scary, heart-wrenching plot. He has a way of making the reader wonder which way is up.After having read several ho-hum books in a row, I wanted to read good writing. Zafón didn't disappoint. "The Angel's Game" is much better than his "Shadow of the Wind."
