Wow, I really loved this one. I feel so good and warm inside now, I even feel so good that I can even think of doing the chores around the house today (which I hate btw!).Just a beautiful story about love and opening yourself up to love and the possibility of getting hurt, because what you can gain from it is so valuable and precious. Great storyline, loved the characters and everything about if felt 100% real to me.Just...loved it. 4.5 OMG what are you doing??? Take him back stars!!! First off Renee has the most gorgeous covers of all time. Like all her books just have such cute scenes on the covers! I want to rip off the covers and put them on my walls! And then I think wait... These are books and then the dream is over... Any who! This girl can write about anything! Musicians in New York? Check! Tech genius and wine selling billionaire in love with a writer from Chicago? Check! Cattle wrangler, suicide, and doctor? Check! Every story she writes is so unique and I love it. I never know what to expect! But enough praising the author lol back to the book. We meet Kate who lives in Chicago and writes as a journalist. Shes still dealing with the loss of the only family she had left when her boss decides to send her to Napa for an exclusive story. When she gets there she runs into Jamie.. Like literally runs into him with her car.. But it's all uphill from there! They hit it off and within four days they're both falling in love. It all gets messy from there and no spoilers of course so we'll stop there. The story was written beautifully. All the metaphors within the story turn something dark into something necessary. And from something necessary to something beautiful. She paints a world that has so much texture I swear I can feel the wood grain in Jamie's barn. She has some mad writing skills. Even if you didn't like the story line it's hard to argue the pure talent there. This book made me sigh, cry, laugh, and glare at fictional characters. It was a great story of love and heartbreak and how we fill in the gaps of our life when something unimaginable happens. It killed me that it took me two days to read this because I simply did not want to put it down. This was a great book! Renee is very close to becoming a favorite author!
