This book is like People magazine of past royal marriages. It gives you all the juicy gossip and should probably be considered a guilty pleasure, much like People magazine. I was disappointed, that of all the "notorious" royal marriages, Edward II of England and wife Isabella of France were not among them. I couldn't think of anything more notorious than a wife going to war against her husband and then possibly having him killed. love this book!picked it up for a dollar at the local seond hand store and it's so good that I can't wait to read another of her books. fact is definitely stranger than fiction and these royal marriages were wrought with scandal and drama like you wouldn't believe. the chapters on Henry the 8th alone will shock you. the injustice might annoy you (being a woman in the past usually led to a sad option less exisitence) but a fabulous read. I can't get enough of this book!
I like anything that spices up history. Very good and entertaining.
