About book Non C'è Niente Che Non Va, Almeno Credo (2014)
La storia di Rosie e Jonathan, quarentenni eterni fidanzati, coppia anticonformista, senza figli, fra tutti i loro amici con famiglia, arriva a una svolta inaspettata. Lui le chiede di sposarla e seguirlo in California, dove vorrebbe aprire il suo museo di tazze, ma per svariati motivi si lasciano e così per Rosie cambierà tutto. Si scopre incinta, e si rifugia dalla nonna Sophie, chiamata Soapie da tutti, personaggio strambo e simpatico, a volte irritante per la “brutale sincerità” con cui tratta la nipote, spronandola a cercare sempre il meglio dalla sua vita. A casa della nonna, si incrociano le vite di George, misterioso “fidanzato” di Soapie, e Tony, badante con un figlio e una vita alquanto incasinata, che Rosie aiuterà a districare.Un interessante viaggio nella vita di 4 personaggi strani, e apparentemente mal assortiti, che troveranno un loro equilibrio, aiutandosi vicendevolmente, che ci accompagnerà in questo libro ironico, leggero ma profondo. Maddie Dawson scrive decisamente bene e sa far incollare il lettore alle pagine, molto consigliato. 3 stars plus .75 stars for extra credit. I liked the story, but like my previous book, got frustrated at Rosie's inability to recognize how her boyfriend of 15 years was not a good person. He canceled their impulsive wedding that he forced her to agree to, he left her in the middle of the night on the porch of her grandmother's house, and the worst was his lack of acceptance and support of her pregnancy. I loved Tony, the caring and kind and sweet caretaker of Rosie's grandmother. But he too lacked a bit of backbone when it came to his ex. Possible spoiler: I'm a sucker for a good ending wrapped up in a bow, so I was happy... hence the extra .75.

The grandmother and granddaughter relationship is what pulled me towards this book. Cute read.
