Ah, just what the doctor ordered, laughter being the best medicine and all... I started reading this a couple of hours ago but I haven't been able to finish it for one simple reason : I HAVE BEEN LAUGHING TOO HARD.I'm talking tears, snorts, groans (cos yes, it is us too!) and lots and lots of laughs. This book tickled every funny bone in my body. Thanks to the General Public for sharing those wildly inappropriate yet ludicrously hilarious moments that characterize human existence. The book is primarily made up of a series of tweets which were sent to Miranda Hart in order to promote her new book (described as a Miran-uel for life) Is It Just Me? I found some of the anecdotes that were tweeted, and included in the book, a little bit hard to believe but it was still very funny to read and I did find myself laughing out loud quite a lot. The tweets were occasionally broken up by pieces from Miranda on different subjects. These don't really add anything too the book but I guess they give an indication of what Is It Just Me? will be like. I'm not really sure about Miranda's style of writing. It definitely fits with her comedy persona but I'm not sure I could read a whole book in that style in one go but I think it would be good to dip in and out off. Given it was free book I can't really complain though - It was a quick and easy read and its good for a bit of a laugh. I definitely think fans of Miranda would enjoy reading this.
