No Dawn Without Darkness is a book about four people trapped inside a quarantined mall that has been filled with a flu virus and everyone inside is in danger. Trapped in the mall for a whole month the teens have to try and survive with limited food, water, and light. Someone destroyed the transformer in the garage and all the lights went out inside the mall. To make things even worse two gangs, the headlamps and the glowing faces, have taken over the mall and will do anything to survive. Would you be able to survive in total darkness?I would recommend this book to my friends because it has very relatable characters and a suspenseful plot that makes you wonder what is going to happen next, and every moment makes you worry about the characters and want to keep reading to see what happens. What was the first week like?Ryan: The first week was easy, there was plenty of water and food and room for everyone, but once the bomb was located everything was a panic. Riots broke out everywhere and many were injured from them, and when the first death was recorded, it got even worse. What was your thoughts when the lights went out?Ginger: When the lights went out it almost seemed like everything froze for a minute, everybody and everything went quiet and no one dared move, but then once reality sunk in and we realized that the lights were officially out, the riots started again. Two gangs also formed once the lights went out, that made everything even worse. What was your reaction when the government let you out?The Senator: I was relieved, it was my job to keep the mall in order from the inside during the quarantine and when we were let out I felt relieved and sad at the same time because of all the people we lost inside the mall. Yet being let out was big breath of fresh air... literally. Along with the other books in this trilogy, this book was also AMAZING. Although I didn't like what Marco became, I liked how it ended with Lexi and Marco. After all, he deserved it for changing. I didn't exactly get how Marco's master plan but i liked how Marco really did love Lexi, At first I thought that they were really good together but then I realized how much Marco changed (especially his language) I thought she didn't deserve him for what he did. When I read the part about Darren, I thought it was cute. You didnt really get to know the character that much but he did always look out for Lexi so that counts, right? I really liked the part about Shay and Ryan too because they were always looking for each other in the mall and they wanted to be together a lot. I really liked the part when they got out that Shay was on the bleachers during the football game. I thought it was very cute.
