So does anyone on my friends list know this guy? 'Cause he is speaking right down my alley & apparently lives in Austin. It is that funky sort of modern absurdist magical realism in the veins of Tom Robbins, Christopher Moore, and Robert Anton Wilson. Beautiful, lyrical passages that derail you from where you thought you were and lets you get a little perspective, sort of like a good acid trip. Definitely recommend it to my friends of a gnostic bent and most everyone else. Surrealist meta-fiction that talks a lot about gnosticism = nerdy stuff I'm into.The illusion of time, there being nothing but the present moment. Life as a labyrinth, the realization that the concept of coincidence is sort-of dumb if you accept the notion of chaos.Synchronicity is the term Vigorito uses often. It reminds me of the Police album.I liked this book. It was too wordy and annoyingly meta at times. But it was still good.
After 100 pages, I still couldn't get into this one and moved onto the next book.
