Night Sky follows the lives of three people throughout WWII. Vasson, a despicable, clever, hateful character who wants to profit from the war and is working with the Germans. He takes up small jobs to earn easy money because of his desire to be affluent. Julie, a determined and strong-willed woman who fled England wanting to avoid ridicule due to becoming pregnant with an illegitimate boy, and went to live with her distant family in France. She becomes tied into a Resistance group working in the village to return men to England by boat. And David, a Jewish scientist disowned by his family who was working for the Germans before the war broke out and thought he would be too important to be put into a camp and killed, but ends up with important information that can not fall into Germany's hands. Each of these main characters tie into each other throughout the book well, but it takes time. It was rather predictable, but still enjoyable. I found that I got bored during the big middle chunk, but it becomes very fast as the characters' plots intertwine.
