The beginning of this book started off slow. The first chapter was filled with a lot of useless information that had no baring on the story line whatsoever. The end of the first chapter picked up though when Melinda was caught in a flash flood as she was on her way to her missing sisters ranch. We finally get to the basis of the whole plot in chapter 3 when Melinda finally gets to the ranch. However again the story veers away from what this story is supposed to be about, with the token suggestion every once in a while. Sadly this book was said to be a mystery which, I guess it was, with the disappearance of Melinda's sister. However it lacks something you can sink your teeth into. One good thing is there is no off color or offensive language or intimate situations that is found in most books today. For that reason alone I will give it 2 stars.
