You know what's great about this one? Is that the holes in the book are holes on one side of the page and lights on the other.I got a lot of good words from this one to put in my box.The only one I couldn't figure out was why the fire truck came to spray water when the guy was just cooking? He's gonna be angry his meal was ruined. He should just take the batteries out of his smoke alarms like we did, so that way they don't beep every time he tries to make toast.This was kind of a baby book but it has good words, so it's OK. It's a good one. This is a cute book for the preschooler who loves "things that go." Every other page is pitch black (the "night" portion), with "lights" shining through the die cuts in the pages. Each night page increases the lights 1-10 (and then an additional 1). A hint is given so the child might guess the kind of truck, car, boat or plane will be on the next page, which shows the "thing that goes" during the day. Be sure to notice how the die cuts are blended into the scene on the page turn. Fun!
There are too many unfamiliar vehicls for a 17 month-old. Otherwise he liked it.
