Alec MacQuarrie is a doomed vampire. The love of his life married a Lycan. Now, the youngest witch, Sorcha Ferguson has informed him of her plans to catch one for herself. What else can he do, but take her for himself.Sorcha thought having a werewolf of her own would be just the thing. Having Alec get in her way turned out to be what her heart needed. She just has to figure out how to live without his love.A very nice addition to the series. I don't know what it is about this series, but I really like these characters. Not that Alec did not drive me a bit batty with his "never loving anyone else again" bit or his "I'm a parasite". The fact that he never thought about the circumstances of two vampyres turning human again after having been vamps much longer than him, simply because they found their true love and what that meant for him. He just could not believe that was possible for him...even after he came to realize he was not in love with Cait, but falling for Sorcha. Interestingly enough, I wanted Alec human again, and not Sorcha changing for him, but that was a new twist. As a whole, I was happy all of the witches got their mates, even if it was pretty straight forward. There were no crazy twists or annoying triangles, but also no superb intrigue either so all in all, a sweet read, but probably not for everyone.
Do You like book Never Been Bit (2011)?
The whole story is just so simple though the ending is very touching. I cried. So 3.5 stars then
